Lack of insulation

This small home had only a paper insulation causing extensive rot. Ultimately the exterior sheathing  should have been removed but it has a stucco finish. The customer didn't wish to follow through with the ultimate scenario. After installing insulation, a heavy poly and new anti-mold drywall I'm confident the rot will not continue.

Condo Bathroom

This dated condo bathroom had lino a steel low profile tub, thin 6" tile walls and carpeted halls over 7/8" OSB plywood on 24" TGI joists. The unit had above ad leaked into this condo which comprised the subfloor. The customer wanted a 1' x 2' porcelain tile installed on the floor usually I'd install an extra 1/2" spruce plywood to reinforce the subfloor. The 7/8" subfloor warped with moisture from above making a conventional reinforcement impossible. To reinforce I'd stapled a plaster mesh and poured a 1/2" floor leveler over it.
The bathroom self explanatory.

Flooring

This house I'd remove 300sq. Ft. Of tile, carpet, base and case. Then painted all walls and trims. The front formal room required 2-5' stages of scaffold.

Curved baseboard

Finishing an unfinished condo on the southside a previous contractor left many unfinished items one of which.
Conventional baseboard wouldn't work without steaming to fasten to these tight curved walls. I'd chosen to install 2 -1/4" layers of plywood glued together. While in place sand the upper outer edge to prepare for paint.

Combining 2 bathrooms

This customer had me demolish 2 bathrooms redo the plumbing to accommodate a spa tub, steam shower,  toilet and vanity. We had also installed plank like porcelain tiles with accents at each fixture location and rail height wall tile, the floor has a heat coil under the tile. In the next room I'll be building a custom closet organizer.

The owner of this home had attempted boarding and installing tile base on the tub walls, unfortunately it didn't turn out. The customer asked me to remove and reinstall this wonderful rectangular shaped white tile.

Railing

One of the many older homes I'd updated had a solid half wall at the rear entry stairwell. To open this particular stairwell I'd installed this paintable pine railing, spindle and newel post system. The stairwell is now looking wonderful!

Change the basement bathroom from Vinyl-tile shower

After years of this basement bathroom vinyl shower leaking causing mold it was time for replacement. With properly constructed substrates a tiled floor and/or walls will last virtually forever.
